Mission Statement: Love God’s People, Grow In God’s Word, Serve God’s World

#LOVE

Here at Turkey Creek, It is our mission for our church to love people. God is love and love should be expressed to all men. We believe you can’t really love God without loving people. If someone says “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar.” -1 John 4:20 Jesus also commands us to love your neighbor as yourself. -Matt 22:39. Jesus also says that by this shall all men know you are my disciples, that you love one another. John 13:35. We live this out through the fellowship of our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and by realizing that we are all apart of God’s family. Our motto at Turkey Creek is We Are “The Church Where Love Abides.”

#GROW

It is our mission that our members would grow in God’s word. Not only do faithful followers of Jesus Christ take the step of knowing him by believing in him for salvation, but we as believers enter a lifelong journey of growing in our relationship with Christ. We grow by attending corporate worship weekly(sunday school. Bible studies, small groups, and morning worship), service, studying, giving, and prayer. Being apart of Turkey Creek means that we are always hungry for more and want to be spiritually mature. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

#SERVE

It is our mission that we serve God’s world. Jesus say Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. -Matt 28:19-20. We believe in serving God in our local church and in our community. We want to touch the world for Christ through missions, community outreach, and evangelism. We want to let our light shine, by sharing our faith with family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, strangers, and whoever we come in contact with. Jesus said the greatest among you will be the servant. Matt 23:11.
